The TBDXC EXCELLENCE Awards

CW EXCELLENCE and SSB EXCELLENCE are the first to be introduced in the line of awards offered by the True Blue DXers Club. The awards programme seeks to recognise outstanding achievements by DXers who use traditional, human-to-human means in today's challenging environment characterised by declining activity on CW and SSB, increasing levels of noise and, at least in the short term, poor propagation on the HF bands.

The EXCELLENCE Awards are offered to amateurs who work at least 200 DXCC entities within one calendar year. This means that there must be no more than 365 days between the first and the last QSO. The award is available for QSOs made after 1 October 2018. The minimum requirement is 200, but the award plaque will mention the actual number of entities worked during the maximum period of one year. The TBDXC website will list award recipients with their respective number of worked entities. The EXCELLENCE awards are single-mode only, CW or SSB.

The award is available as the beautiful, personalised illuminated plaque you see in the image, for a the strictly cost-recovery fee of GBP 19.99 (approximately USD 26) plus S&H.

Whilst no QSL or other form of confirmation is required, applications are accepted on paper only, specifically using the form available here. The reason is that the list of QSOs must be reviewed and countersigned by two licensed amateurs who know the applicant and can vouch for his/her integrity. Those witnesses will be contacted by the Award Manager for confirmation. A signed declaration by the applicant is required as well, and included in the form.

1. Click on the image to download the application form.

2. Fill it in with the list of QSOs.

3. Date and sign your own declaration.

4. Show the list of QSOs to two fellow DXers and have them date and sign their witness statement.

5. Email the package to Russ WD7JS, Award Manager, at russfishk7ina (gmail address).

6. Contact Russ for any additional information, or use the website contact form (top menu).

The WORKED 100 TRUE BLUE Award

The WORKED 100 TRUE BLUE Award is the second in the line of awards offered by the True Blue DXers Club. The awards programme seeks to recognise outstanding achievements by DXers who use traditional, human-to-human means in today's challenging environment characterised by declining activity on CW and SSB, increasing levels of noise and, at least in the short term, poor propagation on the HF bands.

The WORKED 100 TRUE BLUE Award is offered to amateurs who work 100 members of the True Blue DXers Club, in CW and/or SSB and on any band. The Award started on 1 April 2019 and there are no time limits.

Please note that a complete list of the TBDXC members is available in the MEMBERS section of this website.
